Overview
New industrial units across the country need large amounts of fabrication work — trusses, columns and beams — which requires many welders. Welding is needed inside every factory and in household items such as door frames, grills, chairs, tables and cupboards. There is heavy demand for skilled welders in India and abroad (Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and others), and metro train projects require large numbers of welders too. Less-educated youth (Class 8 pass) can also join this one-year course.
