Open for session 2026-27. Admission is based on a written examination and merit.
Eligibility
Age
Not less than 14 years and not more than 40 years. A 5-year relaxation for SC/ST candidates.
Education
Class 10 or above is preferred. Welder trade: Class 8 pass. (See each trade for exact eligibility.)

Selection process
Admission is based on a written examination and merit. The decision of the Admission Committee is final.

General rules
- The institute is open to every citizen of India.
- All trainees must follow the rules and discipline of the institute.
- Damage to institute property, furniture or equipment will be recovered from the responsible trainee, along with any applicable fine.
- All documents must be submitted within one week; only then is the candidate admitted to class.
